The 2016/17 season is the inaugural year for these awards which have replaced The Junior Athlete of the Year, The Most Promising Flying Bee, The Most Outstanding Under 7 and The Young Athlete of the Year. These awards have been archived and can be found under the “Archived Award Winners” tab
One trophy is given to the best athlete, boy or girl, in these age groups. In years where there are large numbers of athletes, the Executive Committee may choose to give two awards – one boy and one girl. Winner is chosen based on season performances. It is presented at the Closing Ceremony.
